Wavefront

Wavefront is composed of two movements that play with the idea of “refraction" and "reflection," imagining vivid colors of light shifting its color through a different process. These processes correlate to two models in real life: 1. refraction of light when it is shined through a prism, 2. reflection of light using any shiny surface. The piece aims to express the different processes of change, and the timbral contrast between the trombone and the piano. I hope this piece paints a vivid and colorful light as I have imagined it. I.
